How to go live on TikTok
Basic Requirement before you go Live
Before you walk behind the camera and use TikTok's LIVE feature, there are two prerequisites you must complete. To go Live, you must first be 16 years old — this is decided by your birthdate when you first create your TikTok profile — and second, you must have at least 1,000 followers.
Simply follow these simple steps to join your live stream if you're over 16 years old and have 1000+ followers.
Step 1: Open Tiktok
Open the app and tap the plus (+) symbol at the bottom of the screen to start a new project.
Step 2: Go to MENU
From the menu, choose LIVE.
Step 3: Choose LIVE
You'll be able to watch your video feed after selecting LIVE. You may give your Livestream a title, turn on or off comments, add effects or filters, choose a charity to sponsor, and share it through connected social networking networks or a messaging service in the preview.
Tap Go LIVE when you're ready to start streaming your video.
To end your stream, simply touch the power button at the bottom of the menu screen once you've finished your LIVE event. A live stream, unlike a pre-recorded video that you spend time creating and editing before posting to your TikTok feed, will vanish as soon as you're done, so take advantage of it while you can!
